Easter Assembly

The children shared a very special assembly to end our Spring Term.  The Passion and Resurrection of Christ was depicted beautifully, through action, story and singing.

Thank you children for helping everyone in our school and community to celebrate the joy of Easter.

On behalf of all the staff and children, we wish everyone a very Happy Easter.

Fund raising during Lent

The School Council organised a number of events during Lent this year to raise money which will be split between the Nugent Care Good Shepherd Appeal and our school fund.

The children have completed a sponsored spell, entered Easter Bonnets into a parade, decorated eggs, and created some amazing Easter cakes to sell in our cake sale.

Thanks to our School Council for organising these great events, to all the children who joined in, and to everyone who supported as a sponsor or who bought cake!

Year 5's VE celebration day

To bring their topic to a close, and to celebrate all that they have learned about life in Burtonwood during World War II, the children enjoyed food, music and dancing at their VE day street party!

Year 2's Australia Day

To celebrate their learning, Year 2 have had an Australia themed day to end their topic.  There have been bush tucker snacks, and snake skins in class - great fun!

Year 3 Rejoice Assembly

Thank you to Year 3 for leading our Rejoice Assembly on Friday 7th April.   The theme of the assembly was “Giving All”  and the children  shared what they have been learning in Come and See about Lent as a time to “give up” and “give more”.

The children sang and spoke with confidence, and the shadow puppet story was a great idea!  Well done!

Easter Egg Bingo

Thank you to all of the families who supported our Easter Egg Bingo after school on Thursday 6th April.  It was a fantastic evening with a great community atmosphere and it was lovely to see the children having such fun.

Thank you to the Friends' Association, to all of the helper volunteers, to those who baked or donated cakes and Easter Eggs and to the Co-op for sponsoring the event.

We raised an amazing £659!!
